14 new electric filters will be installed at Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 by 2025

Installation of new electric filters continues at Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1. Eight of them have already been put into operation, and now specialists are installing three more gas purification units, and there will be 14 of them in total. The program is designed until the beginning of 2025. The work is being carried out as part of the implementation of the project for the development of Krasnoyarsk heat supply system, which is included in the Yenisey Siberia CIP. The project involves a comprehensive environmental modernization and expansion of Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1, as well as an increase in the capacity of Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3.

Each electric filter is a massive structure the size of a multistory building and is an integral part of the boiler plant, with which flue gases are cleaned before entering the pipe. All electric filters are manufactured by a Russian company.

Two of the three mounted filters are installed together with new boiler installations. This should provide a double benefit for the environment: new boilers with higher efficiency will burn less fuel for the production of heat and electricity, and electric filters will clean flue gases from solid dust particles with an efficiency of over 99%.

Before commissioning, each electric filter undergoes comprehensive and warranty tests, during which its effectiveness is checked. The SGC has established a requirement for the manufacturer: the degree of purification of emissions at the outlet of the electric filter must comply not even with Russian, but European standards. According to the legislation in force in the Russian Federation until 2025, the content of up to 150 mg of solid particles in one cubic meter of air after purification is permissible, according to the European standard, it should not exceed 50 mg / cubic meter.

The progress of modernization of the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 is monitored at the regional and federal levels. The implementation of the project will improve the environmental friendliness of the plant, the quality and reliability of heat supply.
